You Crafty Bitch

I made this thinking that it would be interesting for 5 minutes but it ended up keeping Lily occupied for more than an hour and she cried when we put it away for the day. What's great is that it doesn't require anything that you don't already have in your kitchen. Here's what you need:

- Flour
- Vegetable oil
- Food coloring
- A big tupperware to put it in

I made two colors of the dough. For each one I used 1/3 cup of oil and 2 cups of flour. I mixed the food coloring in to the oil before I added the flour. After I added the flour I found that the best way to mix everything up was with your hands. When the dough doesn't stick much to your fingers it's ready to go. Also, if it's too wet, you can always add more flour. I put both colors side by side in a big tupperware, added some scoopers and cups and such and let her at it! This is a great sensory exercise for little ones, she loved scooping the dough in to cups and pouring it out.
