DIY Discovery Bottles
Lily gets bored so easily, I'll give her something new and, whether I made it or bought it, she gets bored in five minutes and starts screaming at me for something else to do. She also doesn't like television which might be a blessing and a curse. So since I am on a never ending quest to find things for her to do and came across this discovery bottle project. You will need:

- Bottles

- Olive oil
- Stuff to put in the bottles (I chose some beads, baby oil, food coloring etc.)
- A hot glue gun (or super glue) to glue the bottle lids shut

So the first thing you need to do is take all of the paper and glue off your bottles. The best way to get the glue off, I've discovered, is to rub some olive oil in to the glue and let it sit for a couple minutes. After you get the glue off completely, you can wash and dry the bottles, making then ready to use. Then you can fill the bottles up with your contents and glue the lids shut. The hot glue gun made this project incredibly fast, with super glue the drying time is going to be 2-3 hours. If you're using a glue gun, only put glue on the inside of each bottle cap before twisting each cap on to its bottle, allow about a minute to dry and you're good to go. I made three bottles:

1. ½ baby oil, ½ water, green food coloring and some gold glitter

2. 2 different types of beads (this one is like a music toy)

3. Colored sparkly pom pom balls

They seemed to keep her attention for a bit, hopefully that continues. Happy crafting everyone!
